ÇELSAN IFS ERP Project Successfully Went Live
Çelsan’s ERP project was rolled out under the management and consultancy of Egeria, one of IFS Turkey’s solution partners.
Çelsan—committed to meeting its customers’ needs with maximum speed and quality—is strengthening its customer‑centric vision through digital transformation and Industry 4.0 initiatives to boost operational efficiency and reinforce its market‑leading position.
Founded in 1965 by Özer Kayın, Çelsan has stood by farmers for 58 years. Serving both the OEM and aftermarket sectors, the company launched its digital transformation project upon the succession of third‑generation leader Alihan Ayaydın as CEO, aiming to respond swiftly and flexibly to customer demands.
With exports to 75 countries—leading the Turkish market and ranking fifth globally—Çelsan decided, in line with its growth strategies, to adopt a unified, cutting‑edge system that would support decision‑making across all departments in a common language.
Çelsan’s digital transformation journey began with a rigorous vendor selection process to identify the best ERP solution in the industry. Led by CFO Begüm Eravcı and IT Director Hüseyin Koçyiğit, IFS stood out for its user‑friendly interface, rapid deployment capabilities, and use of the software industry’s most common development language. Egeria’s in‑depth analyses and impressive demos were also decisive factors.
After thorough research and demonstrations, Çelsan—together with Egeria—decided to implement IFS. The project kicked off in April 2023; Phase 1 went live in January 2024, and Phase 2 followed in April 2024. The IFS solution now integrates functions across production, planning, finance, supply chain, sales, shipping, procurement, HR, CRM, and more, all on a single platform.
Reflecting on the selection and implementation process, CFO Begüm Eravcı said, “Above all, we placed great trust in the Egeria team. We believed we could succeed together, and we created a fantastic synergy. Their dedication—late nights included—was a key factor in our rapid progress.”
IT Director Hüseyin Koçyiğit added, “Egeria’s detailed analysis and standout demos impressed us greatly. When evaluated in terms of cost and sustainability, IFS and Egeria clearly led the field.”
Egeria’s experienced project team worked in close collaboration with Çelsan to ensure a smooth go‑live, completing the project ahead of schedule thanks to the commitment and hard work of both organizations.
Serving 90 percent of the Turkish market and exporting to 75 countries—primarily in the Americas and Europe—Çelsan’s IFS project plays a pivotal role in its growth strategy.
CTO Serkan Işıkver noted, “Monitoring operational efficiency and performance is vital for us. Without data, we can’t identify where improvements are needed or where to focus. Our first step was to establish a comprehensive data set to ensure transparency and enhance accountability in production management.” He emphasized that the rapid implementation of the system and embedding accountability into the corporate culture were critical goals.
With the IFS system live, Çelsan now benefits from real‑time data analytics, advanced reporting capabilities, and significant improvements across its business processes. This transformation supports Çelsan’s aims to elevate customer satisfaction, respond more swiftly to market demands, and strengthen its global competitiveness.
Işıkver also shared that following ERP, Çelsan’s next step is to integrate MES and IoT systems for machine‑level data collection. Work is already underway, with the goal of fully leveraging IFS—including business analytics and dashboard screens—and completing IoT integration by early 2025.
Under Egeria’s guidance, Çelsan’s ongoing digital transformation project is boldly and decisively meeting the evolving needs of the industry, transforming the company into a more efficient, agile, and responsive organization.
